Honorary Members

I would like to take a moment to recognize our honorary members....

Tom McNeil - Because he was one hell of an angler and an even better friend. He was the original concoctor of the Beam and OJ mix which later transgressed like Tiger into Beam and lemonade and has become a staple for our crew. R.I.P. Uncle Tommy

Rachel Andreozzi - Because she would kill me if I did not include her and she is the only one of us who "has never lost a fish in her life"

Jim Warstler - must give Jim a shoutout for coining the term "googan" as well as the term to describe an extreme form of googanry called "super googan"

Brendan Asaff - Because I have never seen anyone lose more fish in one day

Boca Offshore January 2010

The new year started off with a bang in Costa Rica and that continued through January. We haven't been able to fish as much as we would like because the seas have not been cooperating, but when we did get out we were able to make it count. Pics to follow...

Costa Rica - New Year's 2009

My girlfriend Rachel and I have developed an annual New Year's ritual. We pick a destination and take ~1 week off from the stressful office environment to relax, fish, and enjoy life. Previous trips include, the Keys, Jamaica and the Bahamas. This year we decided on Costa Rica, and what better place in Costa Rica than the Pacific Coast's world-renowned fishing destination Los Suenos Resort and Marina. Alhtough the rest of Team Googan were not along for the ride, we had one hell of a fishing trip. We departed from the marina on New Year's morning feeling a little uneasy from the night before, but luckily the seas were relatively flat and the bite was on! Ended the day 5 for 6 on Sails and Rachel caught a nice bull dorado. We also raised a 300+lb Blue Marlin but failed to hook up....We are already planning our return to get revenge.
